question:I have a bump on the side of my right calf, that is only there when I flex or cross my legs. And when I press on it, the area is kind of painful and also feels crunchy when I press on it. Sorry for the lack of an intelligent explanation, there is just no other way to explain it. What could this be?

answer:Hello, We have to rule out possible causes like an intramuscular lipoma. Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. You might require an MRI scan in case of diagnostic confusion. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
