answer:Hi,Duphaston contains Dydrogesterone which is similar to the female hormone progesterone. The most common side effects of this medicine include headache, nausea and breast pain. It may also cause bleeding or spotting in between menstrual periods.Brown discharge could indicate the starting of bleeding. It may be old blood from previous cycles. You may have to wait for 7 to 10 days maximum for the bleed to occur after stopping the drug.Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. question:I have been diagnosed to have psoriasis. The doctor has prescribed Flagyl 400mg tab daily and Absolut Cap daily one each. On using Flagyl I found red spots all over my body. Should I continue. On the other hand, a general Physician has prescribed Montek Lc one daily and Deflacort 30mg half a tab daily. The dermatologist has asked me stop tablets prescribed by the Generalo physician, but the lesions still continue. Pls help. My age is 49 and i am a Male.

answer:Hi, Cannot say in your particular case and the red spots are hard to comment on without seeing them. Association with a new drug makes allergy to it something that comes to mind but it can be coincidence. Itching and hives make allergy more likely and more likely to be a drug reaction. Drug reactions are either mainly where the drug contacted the body or all over. Flagyl is pretty common to cause this reaction and anti-allergy medicines such as montek and deflacort would be a treatment for this. There's a lot of other psoriasis treatments. question:Hi. I am 30 weeks pregnant now. I have light bleeding last week and yesterday. Today I went to a different gynae and he injected Proluton and Dexamethasone (2-course). I am very worried if this will anyhow affect my baby. Can you please advise if that was the right procedure to take?

answer:Hi,These medicines are considered to be safe during pregnancy. Proluton (hydoxyprogesterone) is a synthetic form of female hormone that is commonly prescribed to reduce the risk of giving birth too early (preterm birth or giving birth less than 37 weeks of pregnancy). Dexamethasone is a steroid that is commonly given during pregnancy to facilitate the maturity of fetal lungs. It stimulates the production of surfactant in the baby’s lungs and thus reduces the risk of lung problems for babies who are born early, particularly for those born between 29 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. It also prevents colitis and brain hemorrhage in the neonates. There is nothing to worry as these medicines do not cause any harmful effects in the growing unborn baby.Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. question:Good morning Dear Sir, My son is 6 months old & he has some allergic problem .In every ten to fifteen days interval he become the victim of cough & cold & at that time he is given asthalin as well as nasal drop for avoiding blockage of nose. Now What re the side effects of Althea pills? is included with this. How to use montair and what is the side effect of using this?

answer:Hi, Althea is a birth control pill. It should not be used by 6 year olds. Montair is a very effective respiratory anti-inflammatory and has very few side effects. Montair is a once a day pill. Asthalin is a combination of a stress hormone and a steroid. While these are powerful medicines, used in an inhaler, very little is applied to the lungs. But since the lungs are where they need to work, this works, but the body doesn't get much drug so the side effects are nearly all local. There can be yeast infection in the mouth from the steroid. Some people get irritated by the physical presence of a drug in their lungs. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. question:My husband had surgery to relieve a pinched nerve in his elbow & carpal tunnel on the same arm a week and 2 days ago. They did a nerve block on his arm, gave him a sedative and supposedly used just enough anestesia to put him to sleep. Since the surgery he has been having bouts of dizziness and the feeling of motion sickness. So bad to the point he doesn t feel comfortable driving. Could this still be a side effect of the anestesia or could he be now having an inner ear issue, etc.?

answer:Hi, Cannot say in his particular case and medications go out of the body pretty fast after surgery and are unlikely to be there the next day. Some sedation after it is due to changes in sleep wake cycle NOT medicine still being there and this is common. Vertigo is not at all common. People might sleep in an odd position if sedated and this can cause ear and sinus issues. There can even be slight aspiration with surgery to do the same. Mostly, it's an ear problem. question:i had restylane injected under my eyes and after the first day my upper right lip became numb and tingling. I also have lumps that are tender to the touch after 5 datys. I returned to the doctor on day 3 and he said i need to message the filler and it probably got into the nerve area below my eye. My question is how long should i let this go on before I become concerned about permanent nerve damage? Will messaging relieve this or should i have it dissolved? Is this a common problem?

answer:Hi, Cannot say in your particular case AND if the body of the nerve is not killed but only the outgrowths, then repair usually occurs but may take months. The repair might not be complete and could give odd or painful sensations. Massaging is not generally helpful. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
