question:My child is 2 months old and she get assumingly a pain and she keep crying... We suspect its a colic pain.. and we give some drops of colicaid....she doesnt really get well after that n we keep swinging her for hours before she finally gets rest n sleeps. Let me know what i shd really do ? and how frequently this colicaid is okay to give.
answer:Hi,Infantile colic is a common problem upto 3 months.You can give Colicaid or Colimax drops as and when required.Please see that child is not hungry and due to hunger she might be crying.Change the diaper frequently as wet diaper does cause inconvenience to a child.Ok and take care.
question:My son is 2 years old, and he got bit by some ants, and i noticed that his uncircomsized penis was swollen and i cleaned it the best i could. well tonight when i cleaned it again it was still swollen and when i tryed to pull the foreskin away to clean the tip yellow discharge came out and i am now very scared.
answer:Hi,It seems that there might be having some infection on glans due to not cleaning smegma leading to soreness and swelling.Clean local part with warm water and apply antibiotic cream.Ok and take care.
question:Dr., This is Himadri Dhar, my son Adriz is 3 years old and today around 4-5 hours ago we have taken cheese popcorn from outside stall and right now he is crying like anything for stomach pain. We are also suffering from gas formation. He does not have any other problem and not taking any other medicines at present. Can you please advise medicine for him?
answer:Hi, welcome to HCM. I see similar cases in my clinic everyday. Your child probably has food poisoning. If I was your treating doctor, i would have given syrup cyclopam 5 ml PO three times a day for 2 days and syrup zoxakind-O 3.5 ml PO three times a day for 3 days. However since this is a prescription medicine, i advice you to meet the local doctor to confirm the diagnosis. question:if cetrizine hydrochloride(2.5mg) and ambroxol hydrochloride(30mg) combination is used for loose motions in childrens (5-7 years age group) or it is for cough & cold....actually I have a bottle of syrup, but forgot to label it...now just want to label it..

question:I have been hurting in my lower abdomen since saturday, it hurts to walk, and it hurts when i go to stand from sitting to standing. I feel like some was pressure from gas, but I did take a light laxative also because I have been on some medication that did say could cause constipation . I am just wondering should I contact my physician since this has been going on for a few days. I am 56.
answer:Dear pat. If your pain is aggravated by moving then this is probably muscle pain. You could have some trauma or distention of abdominal muscles. Pain due to gas would be more crampy and you would feel bloated. You can try to take some usual analgetics. If pain persists or fever and vomiting appear then got to doctor. Wish you good health.
question:my 14 month old son has had suspected cows milk allergy since 12weeks resulting in constipation, he has just undergone some investigations (bowel and stomach biopsy) they all came back normal but the results of his bloods showed very low haemoglobin levels, they took more bloods and want to see him in a few weeks, is this anything to worry about and can they correct themselves in this time?
answer:Hi,Welcome to Hcm,I understand your concern. Low hemoglobin is definitely a problem for a small baby like yours but its not a thing to worry so much about. The problem depends on how low the hemoglobin level is. There are so many reasons for the low hemoglobin in a child and the duration required to correct it also depends on the type. Your doctor did right by doing blood tests which is only way to make a diagnosis why the level is low. Hope all those results come out normal too. Take care.
